I’ve been so busy this Summer that it’s taken me a bit to get to this wonderful project, a Children’s Sensory Board by DIYer and blogger extraordinaire, Gina, a.k.a Lady Goats!! We love the idea that Gina made this project especially for a friend that had opened an in-home daycare business and was looking to outfit the space with some appropriate and safe, child friendly items. We pretty much can’t think of a more safe and friendly item to use for like projects than our PureBond hardwood plywood that is eco-friendly and formaldehyde-free For more How-To on the project, click here!
Check out this awesome find courtesy of Columbia Forest Products’ (the manufacturers of PureBond hardwood plywood), very own Linda Sitz, an Inside Sales Representative who works out of our Trumann, Arkansas facility. These fabulous pieces of art are the creation of artist using Columbia Forest Products PureBond hardwood plywood panels. Per the artists’ website ”The work reflects her background in fibers. The forms are mostly linear and use progressive rhythm to create movement and shadow. Her most recent work deals with the idea of forms developing over time. The layers and undulating rhythms in the forms speak of mortality and the huge expanses of time that lead to one particular moment of beauty.”
Check out the cute and cool personalized wall decor that DIYer, blogger, wife, mother and singer :), Jen Woodhouse of The House of Wood blog has created using scrap pieces of PureBond hardwood plywood from past projects! I happen to like personalization on just about anything I can get it on, so am I am all about Jen’s idea of creating wall accents using an individual’s name to make it a unique on-of-a-kind piece but I am also liking that she has found a way to put her PureBond scraps to good use! LOVE IT! For more details and how-to on creating your own personalized wall art, click here!
Prepare to be A-mazed a the National Building Museum in Washington, DC this Summer! The museum, in partnership with BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, is planning on creating a never-before-seen large-scale maze for the museum’s historic home. The maze, aptly named the “BIG Maze” will be constructed mostly from formaldehyde-free , maple, PureBond hardwood plywood panels will stand approximately 18 feet high and measure 60 feet by 60 feet deploying a series of intricate twists and turns for visitors to follow and explore. The venue will to open July 4 to September 1, 2014 at the museum. For more information on this interesting project and event, click here!
If you don’t know anything about the PureBond Idea Team it is simple a group of DIY bloggers who use our PureBond hardwood plywood in projects that range from kitchen cabinets, to built-ins, to DIY furniture, to wood crafts…pretty much anything goes just so long as the project uses our PureBond products and the DIYer/Blogger blogs about the project, mentions PureBond and displays our badge of their blog! In return, we not only try to promote the blogger but also reimburse the blogger for the PureBond panels used via Home Depot gift cards…pretty simple isn’t it? :)
