Art by Caprice Pierucci

Check out this awesome find courtesy of Columbia Forest Products’ (the manufacturers of PureBond hardwood plywood), very own Linda Sitz, an Inside Sales Representative who works out of our Trumann, Arkansas facility. These fabulous pieces of art are the creation of artist using Columbia Forest Products PureBond hardwood plywood panels. Per the artists’ website  ”The work reflects her background in fibers. The forms are mostly linear and use progressive rhythm to create movement and shadow. Her most recent work deals with the idea of forms developing over time. The layers and undulating rhythms in the forms speak of mortality and the huge expanses of time that lead to one particular moment of beauty.”

It’s great to see our PureBond products in finished form! for more on the artist and available works, click here.

PureBond String Art Project by DIY On The Cheap

PureBond, hardwood plywoodThis the first string art project PureBond has had and we think it would be a PERFECT project to use on our new conveniently sized project PureBond hardwood plywood project panels that are available online everywhere, and at select Home Depot stores for your convenience!

These lovely creations are from the creative mind of DIYer and blogger Erin Spain of the blog DIY On The Cheap. Per Erin this pieces of wall art were PureBond, hardwood plywoodcustom designed especially for the Dwell with Dignity home which is sponsored by Dwell with Dignity, “a non-profit group of Interior Designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. We provide and install home interiors for families that include furnishings and art, bedding and kitchen supplies, and food in the pantry.”

Looking for new PureBond Idea Team members

PureBond SamplesIt’s been rather quiet this Spring for new PureBond Idea Team projects, so we are thinking that we’d like to add members to our PureBond Idea team!

If you don’t know anything about the PureBond Idea Team it is simple a group of DIY bloggers who use our PureBond hardwood plywood in projects that range from kitchen cabinets,  to built-ins, to DIY furniture, to wood crafts…pretty much anything goes just so long as the project uses our PureBond products and the DIYer/Blogger blogs about the project, mentions PureBond and displays our badge of their blog! In return, we not only try to promote the blogger but also reimburse the blogger for the PureBond panels used via Home Depot gift cards…pretty simple isn’t it?  :)

For more information, click here! Or contact us at: lwinkler@columbiaforestproducts.com. Or even better yet, if you happen to be attending the Haven Conference in Atlanta, GA in July, come by our booth!

Weekend PureBond Project

Finished hall chest 001Got this in a little bit ago and have just now had time to post it! Anyhow, take a gander at this PureBond entryway chest created in one weekend by wood worker and DIYer, Rob Roszell! Per Rob he used 3/4″ oak PureBond hardwood plywood that he picked up at his local The Home Depot for this little creation!  We think it turned out great, which is actually no surprise as Rob is a woodworker who also happens to be employed by trade publication, CabinetMaker+FDM, which may in our opinion give him a bit of a DIYer advantage :) hardwood plywood, PureBondhardwood plywood, PureBond

PureBond Mirror by Designs by Studio C!

PureBond, hardwood plywoodSimple little PureBond hardwood plywood project by Cher-Ann, the designer/blogger from Designs by Studio C! This beginner level project is a mirror using our Mahogany PureBond hardwood plywood (btw’s the mirror was made with project panels from The Home Depot), which uses a “glue-resist technique” to create the design, then is stained with Rust-Oleum in Carrington, and wet-sanded the final finish! We love this technique and can think of a lot of projects where this look would work fabulously because it not only adds interest but really shows off the wood :)
